The 1.4L Turbo engine is known for having various boost and vacuum leaks. This kit allows you to pressurize the intake system and crankcase to track down leaks. Unlike a smoke machine, this kit can use the same pressure that the turbo produces. and monitor the leak rate at any pressure.

The 1.4L Turbo should not produce crankcase pressure under normal operating conditions. This kit will allow you to check for crankcase pressure both at idle and while driving to confirm if this condition exists.

The crankcase should be under vacuum at hot idle, but only 11-18 in-WC of vacuum. A defect in the valve cover can cause excess crankcase vacuum, and this can help identify that.
